The Telling

The Telling: A Gathering of Remembrance is an annual city-wide event in Montgomery, Alabama inspired by a Jewish Passover experience, local resident A.W. Hampton felt the desire to bring a condensed, unified history to African Americans and become active participants in telling their story and bring you into the triumph of today. 

Led by “Telling” author, A.W. Hampton from Montgomery, Alabama and award winning historian, Joyce Sharrock Cole from Ossining, NY. They will lead you from the plight to triumph of African Americans through inspired readings, music, scripture, symbols and delicious soul food.
